Ranjana Gauhar a dancer par excellence is an internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer. Ranjana has travelled with her art of Odissi dance across the length and breadth of the country and has taken her art across the globe. A choreographer, teacher, and film producer, Ranjana has dedicated her entire life to this art form. For her contribution to dance, she has been honoured with many prestigeous awards.
Padmashree Award
Ranjana Gauhar was presented with the PadmaShree Award in 2003 by President APJ Abdul Kalam, for her commitment, deep devotion and dedication to Odissi.
Sangeet Natak Akademi Award
Ranjana Gauhar was honoured with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in for the year 2007 for her contribution to the field of Odissi dance, by the President of India H.E Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil.
